The purpose of the advocacy component is to increase the level of awareness of the people on health promotion and the different levels of kidney disease prevention, including prevention of death due to end-stage renal disease (ESRD).  

This is being done nationwide utilizing different media of information, education and communication (IEC) dissemination such as; Broadcast media, print, interpersonal, etc.          

REDCOP has produced and distributed thousands of leaflets and brochures, flyer fans, VHS & cassette tapes of REDCOP Plugs, documentary films and other IEC materials nationwide.  With the very extensive and intensive nature of the advocacy campaign, REDCOP won the Grand Prize in the Gawad Oscar Florendo Awards, for the Most Outstanding Public Information Campaign.

 Recently, REDCOP won the Most Out-  standing Public Information Tool: Print Category in the 13th Gawad Oscar Florendo Awards (November 17, 2004).
